Limestone Floor Cleaning – Weybridge, Surrey

This Limestone floor in Weybridge, Surrey had not been deep cleaned for 5 years. The seal had broken down and allowed dirt to penetrate into the pores of the tile.

Firstly, we used a high alkaline chemical cleaner alongside a rotary scrubbing machine. The residue was then pressure rinsed and vacuumed away.

The customer required a satin finish the Limestone floor, so we used diamond abrasive pads to cut back through the old scratches and leave the floor with a semi sheen finish.

After leaving the Limestone floor to dry over 24 hours, we then applied 2 coats of colour enhancing solvent based impregnator sealer. This not only protects the floor for the future but brings the colour and movement out of the tiles.

Limestone is naturally a hard stone but over time the surface will become dull due to etching from acidic chemicals and daily traffic. Once the stone has been resurfaced and polished, daily maintenance will become much simpler.
