Victorian Floor Cleaning Company – Teddington

Victorian Floor Cleaners.

This Victorian hallway floor in Teddington, Middlesex had been covered up for quite a few years. There was a substantial amount of glue around the edges where carpet had previously been stuck down over the years.

The house was in the process of being renovated and there had been paint and plaster dust trodden in during the works.

The first job was to remove the glue and paint using a solvent based stripping chemical. Following this we machine cleaned and power rinsed the floor to remove ingrained soil and any old sealer or wax. This left the floor in a cleaned state ready to accept the new seal.

After allowing 48 hours drying time, we applied 5 coats of a high sheen topical sealer. This enhances the colours of the stone a gives the Victorian floor protection against soiling and spillages. The sealer also makes future maintenance much easier.
